Optimism : An antidote to problems.
“Ye sab to acha hai beta..but aap karte kya ho?”
I have lived my life so I will obviously quote examples from my experience. I’ve constantly been asked about what I really do. It is like a bug in the head. If you’re an artist too, I’m sure you have been asked about this a million times. Some people assume that an artist does ‘nothing’, others expect us to find a job with a fixed salary.
“Beta ye sab hobbies hain..career important hai. Abhi kar lo varna time nikal jayega.”
Yes they are concerned. They probably see the capability in us, they expect us to shine. Many others are afraid too. They feel social norms are distorted by ‘not doing a regular 9 to 5 job’ or ‘being a freelancer’ or ‘being an artist’.
I have answered hundreds of questions justifying my life choices at every single step. But what I did wrong was I questioned my abilities whenever someone questioned my choices. ย
“Frustrate ho jaaoge ye karte karte..ab kuch aur bhi socho.”
‘Art of Optimism’ comes to work when we put these lines aside and keep our blood and sweat aligned with our aim. It is crazily difficult. It really is. Finding positives in criticisms and escape routes in disasters take time. But you know what..just go for it. You have nothing to lose..the worst thing can be failure (which is a phase, not a permanent state). Be positive. You are going to shine in whatever you do.
Optimism is real.
It’s inside you all along.
